This week, we were talking about the relocation camps, in which the Japanese people were relocated after Japan attacked pearl harborl and the deportation of middle Eastern people after the 9/11 attack .
The American people were afraid from Japanese people who leaved in America. There were hysteria because of the war. The government put them in internment camps to protect the country.
Here are some pictures from it.

"Close to fourteen thousand civilians: men, women, and children, mostly of British and American nationality, were incarcerated in a number of prison camps".

Some people in my classroom said that this situation couldn't ocurr again, but we can see that after the 9/11 attack, hondreds of middle eastern people have been put in jail and deported to their country, most of them, only because of their race.

"ALI SALAHIEH: They said that there was some irregularity with my status, and I was taken away to a holding cell, in shackles. And for the next three nights I was driven back to and from San Francisco to a facility north of Sacramento, and I kept my street clothes on, and we were not provided with any bedding for three nights".

We can see that the situation is similar to the Japanese people, who were acused of spy or send messages to the Japanese government. These Middle Eastern people have been acused to be part of the terrorist attack of 9/11, and because of this, many families and lives have been distroyed.

Hi,this week we were reading about the atack of Japan to The United States in Pearl Harbor on december 7, 1941. We also learn that United States send the Japanese people to live in relocations camps, where they had to live until World war II ended. After they left from the camps, they experimented a big racisim. The American people was very racist to them. They had to pass a hard time getting houses, works and to recover their normal life.
This kind of hatre is still happen today. Many peole hate muslam people because of 9/11 and some black people hate white people. However, the racial discrimination is not the only reason of hatre betweenn the people. There is racism because of religion, sex and many others things. I think the racism to an specific group is happening right now. The law against the immigrant people is an example of this. I think this kind of hatre is being experimented by every immgrant in this country. In the rally on monday, I saw a poster that called my atention, it said: "Japanese, Latinos, Americans, Africans, Asian, which is the difference??." This poster shows that everybody should respect the people no matter which country come from or their race or color. If the world doesn't finish wit the racism, I think the sacrifice of the Jews people could happen again to other race.

In my classroom we discused about war. The teacher asked us a very difficult question: "Is war necessary?". At first, I said deffinitivaly no, war is not necessary, but after we read the book "night" my perspective about war chaged. This book gave me a new vision about the war, and what happen with the Jews people. Also we read some articles and discussed many things in class. Before, I didn't know much about war, but now I can say that in some cases the war is necessary. For example in World War II, there were some countries that needed help. Japan invaded china and the chinese people suffered so much. The Japanesse killed the people, taked their houses and destroyed the country. The Jews were very afflicted by the Germans. They were recluted in consentration camps and six million of them died in the crematories. This are only some examples of nations that needed help from others countries. Without this war the Jews people had been aniquilated and the chinese country had dissapeared.
Also, with this war some comunist countries become democratic countries.
The war not always bring good things. In this war died million of people. I thing the war is good sometimes when we have to fight again the unjust, freedom or help nations that need our help.

Hello! I'm so happy because my sprig break was great. I traveled to Virginia to celebrate my mother's birthday and my birthday. I ejoyed very much the time that I spend there. We went to visit many places. The most exited experience that I had was that we went to the American Navy. This was a very excited experience. We saw all the army, all the submarines, all the missiles, and everything. It was the most excited experience that I had in my vacation.

The Jews sacrifice was the result to the intolerance and the ambission of power. I think this discrimination has been no only for Jews people, there are many people from others countries that have suffered persecution to Religion, race or sex. In the middle East there are many woman suffering discrimination. They can not leave from their houses, they can not get out the scarp of their head or speak with a man that isn't her husband . If they do one of this things, they could die. Also, there are fights between Chistian people and Muslim people in afghanistan. In Algeria there is an anti-convertion law that is part of the growing radicalization of the muslim world, pinttin islam against Christianity and others religions in a "Holy war". Maybe all this things are not big like the Jews sacrifice but this shows that this situation could repeat again.
Many people says that is imposible that this situation hapen again because there are many organizations that help to resolv the conflict ( like the United Nations), but it is not enough. I think that very soon other big persecution will come in the next years against some religions. I dont have time to discuss it now, but in my next blog i'm will go to talk about this.

Hello! Yesterday we had a good day. Our classmates from Bronx came to our school and we had breakfast together. Everyone brought something from their house and that was very funny. I want to give thanks to Generina for the delicious mangoo that she brought for us. I'm so happy because I meet many people, most of them are from Dominican Republic. I meet someone, his name is Martina, she is a very nice person and she remain me one of my best friends from Colombia. After breakfast, we went to the Metropolitan Museum of art where we could see many of the most famous pictures. Also there were an exibition of photografies and desing of contemporary furniture. We had so much fun yesterday and I would like that this experience repeat again.

Hi! I would like to talk about the questions that we had in class this week.

I want to say something about "man created god, or God created de men". I think that we can prove that God created the man only by thinking.

We can see that the men can created many things, he can created cience, he can created a computer, he can created tecnology and so many things. But when you see the nature you can not think that the men could has created something like that. I think the nature is very beautiful and perfect for a men can created that. It can only be created by someone else, who has power, who has omnipotence.

I can not undertand (but I respet) why some people believe that these things could be created by nothing. That simplily one day the world did an explotion and everything was done, or one celula did evolution and everything was done. Even, the human body is perfect. It is the machine more perfect and the doctors knows that. How could be done de human body? By the evolution of a monkey? I understand and respet the people who believe in that, but I think that this things must had be done for one person that have the power to created live. I believe that God created the man and everything in the universe.

I'm so happy to be here today. This week was very nice; I was study hard, I was playing volley and studing music.

Thanks God I got new frieds, they are so funny. Last saturday I was in a African partty. That was so great, because

I could Know about the African culture. This people was from Tanzania, and they have so many costums. They use

dance in a circle with their music, doing some shapes with their hands. They wear clothes very colorful, very big and

so many jewler. They use to put a piece of clothes in their head. One thing that I liked so much were their tipical

dance. They put their hands up and muv their body very quikly. The food was very delicious. they cook flower with

eggs and some plants and do like a pankake. Their music is a little funny, because it has some rimth very fast and

slowly at the same time. In General, It was a great party, and next saturday it si going to be in tv, because there were

a famous periodist and reporter from Dominican Republic, and She was record all the party. This is the most funny

party taht I have seen. And I am so happy, because I could learn about a new culture.

Hi everybody!!! My name is Ling. I study in BMCC in ESL program and I want get more friends... I'm from Colombia and I live in Manhattan. I love the music. I want show you a little of my life. I was born in Medellin in 1989, April 13. I study music in Conservatory of music Antonio Maria Valencia in cali. I finished High School in colombia in 2005 at 16 year old. After that I muved to New York City with my sister of 18 years. Now, I'm living with my mom and my stepfather and I want to study and obtain my degree and go back to Colombia.
